Week 20!!!

We are halfway there! And the weekly countdown number is now in the teens! If the last half of the pregnancy goes as fast as the first half then baby boy will be here before we know it! Sometimes it still seems so surreal to me!

So this last week was pretty fun! Wednesday came and we got to find out what gender our sweet little baby is! When we first started the ultrasound he was laying on his belly so there was no sign of "that", so the tech did everything else. She looked at the brain, the heart, the kidneys, all those exciting things. It actually was pretty cool because we could totally tell what the brain and heart were! Of course the heart was beating so that was hard to miss, but we were able to see all 4 chambers, which we thought was cool! And then when she was showing us the brain, it totally looked like a little person brain, so awesome! The kidneys and other things looked like blobs, but the tech said everything looked great, so that is perfect! We obviously were able to tell what the nose, mouth, hands, and feet were too! And it was fun to see him moving around!

When it came time to do the gender part the tech asked us if we wanted to know, of course we said yes, and she said "I was hoping you wouldn't say that" because he was being so difficult. But after poking at him for a few minutes he FINALLY rolled over and revealed his man parts ;) It seems we have a thumb sucker on our hands already. I don't think that hand left his mouth once the whole time, except for when he was getting annoyed with us and it looked like he was trying to wave us away ;) He also sat on his foot the whole time so we were only able to see one foot, but the one foot we did say looked exactly like it should. The 3D pictures were pretty cool, and I loved seeing the little baby face! It's crazy that such a little miracle is happening here! :)

So let's talk more about baby boy :)

How far along? 20 weeks! 
Total weight gain/loss: About 10 pounds.
Sleep: Same same.
Best moment this week: Duh, finding out we're going to be having a little boy! :) 
Miss anything? Normal hormones.
Movement: I finally have felt some karate chops to the belly! I've noticed he's especially active during nap time at work, maybe he likes the nap music, or maybe it's because I'm finally not going, going, going, and I just get to sit there and read a book and relax. 
Food cravings: I am really liking Marshmallow Matey's. 
Have you started to show yet? I was called "tubby" today by my brother-in-law, what do you think? ;)
Gender? BOY!!!!! 
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On. But the dang heat is making me swell. So who knows how long they'll stay on. 
Happy or moody most of the time? Emotional.

Week 19!!!

I remember wanting to be this far along so bad, because it was the point where things would start to feel more real, but I thought it would take ages to get here. But what do ya know? We are here! And we find out what gender our baby is in less than a week! Excited is an understatement! Kohn says he's a little nervous to find out though because knowing the gender is what's going to make it real for him, because we'll be able to do everything according to the gender now.

We made another baby purchase today. Just the changing pad, nothing big, but it's a purchase, and it's exciting! Next week we'll obviously be making more purchases too! The first thing we've decided to do after our gender ultrasound is to go buy an outfit for baby! Pink or blue? I'm excited to see!

Oh and just p.s. Despicable Me 2 is so cute! I would see it again, and again, and again! It's so funny! I highly recommend it!

And on another note, I'm so sick of this heat! Who is with me? It's awesome that it's summer and everything, but I think I'm already ready for it to cool down, I love fall and am excited for it to be here! I think winter will be my favorite this year though! :)

Baby time!

Total weight gain/loss: Not sure.
Sleep: Sleep is sleep, but I definitely like it a whole lot more.
Best moment this week: Realizing how close our ultrasound is! :)
Miss anything? Laying on my tummy!
Movement: I still haven't felt any but I know it's happening! 
Food cravings: If I see you eating something good then chances are I'm going to want it, that's the way I crave.
Have you started to show yet? More and more. Still not definite looking though.
Gender? I'll tell you next week! You have know idea how excited I am to finally be able to answer this question with a solid answer!
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? In. But I have noticed that I can see my incision in my belly button more than I've ever been able to see it, so there's gotta be some protruding of the belly button there.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? I feel like this has been a happier week for me!
Looking forward to: Easy question-finding out the gender in 6 days! Wooooooo! 

Week 18!!!

I ate chicken TWICE today. Miracle of miracles. We went to Crystal Hot Springs today for our niece Hallie's 7th birthday and had KFC chicken, and as hesitant as I was I ate it, and I liked it. And then for dinner (because I just didn't have the energy to cook dinner) I got chicken strips at Sonic. This is a big step for me because chicken was one of my BIG pregnancy food aversions. It still depends on what type of chicken it is if I will eat it or not, but apparently the greasy fried chicken settles just fine with baby!

It's been a fun week, once we were done with the working part ;) I get 3 saturdays in a row! Going back to work Monday might just be a bit difficult, so I'll continue to enjoy my Saturdays for now ;) Wednesday night we went to the USU fireworks, and it was a pretty great show this year, next year we'll have a little baby, maybe I'll have to watch from a further (not so loud) distance, but it will be worth it. Then on the 4th Kohn ran a 10k in the morning and did awesome! 43:53---stud. Then we went to the Lewiston parade, just kind of lounged around all day and ended it with a family BBQ in Weston. Then this morning Kohn went into work at 6, worked for 4 hours, and then we headed to Crystal Hot Springs. It was fun! I wish everyday could be holiday/weekend!

Baby time!

How far along? 18 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure this time around!
Sleep: Sometimes I just really want to sleep on my belly, but my side will have to do for the next 5 months...
Best moment this week: We brought home our first baby purchase! 
Miss anything? Can't say I do
Movement: Not yet...18-22 weeks is the average time that you can normally feel it, so any time in the next month I should.
Food cravings: Tootsie rolls!
Gender? We'll know in 1.5 weeks :) 
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? In. My belly button is so in I wouldn't be surprised if it never goes out.
Wedding rings on or off? On. And I never take them off so I don't know if I'd notice they got too tight.
Happy or moody most of the time? I'd say I was mostly happy this week, a few emotional episodes, but whatever haha
Looking forward to: Our 20 week ultrasound! 

Week 17!!!

I wasn't sure if this week would go by fast or not, with it being the last week of June, and we all know how ready I am for it to just be July! But thank goodness it's actually been quite fast...probably due to the fact that I've been busy with work and baseball ALL week. But I do like to stay busy so I can't complain, I've just been tired, and that's my only complaint. This baby growing business is tiring stuff.

Kohns games this week have been pretty....awful. Kohn's team won both games, so that was great, but they were just not good games. Monday was 9 innings and 3.5 hours! And it wasn't even a good game, and then last night...well it was only 5 innings, gotta love that mercy rule. I'm not sure on the exact score but Kohn was thinking like 19 or 20-0. At least we're winning though! 

So, I can't believe there is just 3 more weeks until we're halfway done with this pregnancy! I have a little countdown on my phone and there are only 23 weeks left until my due date, which I realize is still a ways, but it doesn't sound long at all, and if the rest of the pregnancy goes as fast as it has gone it will fly by! And I feel like the closer we get to baby the faster it will go with all the preparations that need to happen, especially when we know if we're preparing for a boy or a girl! I just can't wait and it still sometimes seems unreal. Kohn and I are going to be parents! Whoa :) but let's get on to the baby!

*Baby can begin to hear sounds, like my heart beat and the sound of my voice as it resonates through my body! Soooo cool :) 

*The baby is building muscle and it's bones are starting to feel more like bones than rubber. 

How far along? 17 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 6 lbs
Sleep: I have definitely not got enough of it this week.
Best moment this week: Having this day off ;) 
Miss anything? I miss not worrying so much haha
Movement: Well I thought maybe, and then I thought no, and then I thought yes...but I really just don't know. Probably not since I'm not exactly sure. 
Food cravings: Still loving my cinnamon sugar toast. But mainly I just crave things when I see them and they look good. One day someone at work was eating Taco Salad for lunch and you can bet we had Taco Salad for dinner that night!
Have you started to show yet? Ish...I don't even know how to explain anymore. Still just waiting for that "pop" I hear about.
Gender? I really don't know anymore. We were so sure it was a girl, and I think that's still what we think it is...but maybe that means we're totally wrong and it's a boy, and I would be so thrilled! I'll be thrilled either way! And change of plans, we are still finding out July 17th but we're not announcing til July 19th! :) we like to prolong things ;)
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? In. My belly button is so in I wouldn't be surprised if it never goes out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? Uhhh...Kohn asked me if being emotional was pretty common during the 2nd trimester...so that should tell you what kind of week we've had.
Looking forward to: Fireworks and all the fun 4th celebrations next week! I can't believe that's next week, but I'll take it :)

Week 16!!!

I can't believe we found out 11 weeks ago that we were expecting...and I thought that time would drag and I would never get out of that dreaded 1st trimester. But it's actually flown! I've been out of the first trimester for 3 weeks, which has also flown! And now I'm 4 weeks away from the stuff that makes it seem real! 4 weeks from being half way done! 4 weeks from knowing the gender! And about 2-4 weeks from feeling our baby kick! So crazy! And who knows when I'll actually show! I feel like I should be because all my pants are so tight around my belly haha but I think it still looks like a food baby, so we'll give it a few more weeks! :)

I feel like the 1st half of June went by pretty fast, but this last half is seriously dragging. And it only started dragging as soon as I set my ultrasound appointment date. So I'm glad that we're about into our final week of June! Because July is always crazy busy and is going to be a fantastic month! And once we're in July I won't feel like my ultrasound appointment will never get here! :)

I seriously, desperately need to find something to fill my time! Because when I have days off of work I clean, and that doesn't take very long, and then what is there to do? It's too hot to go run until like 8:00 and I gave up crocheting a long time ago! Haha. I'm going to drive myself crazy until December if I don't get it together! I'm sure once we know the gender it will be a lot easier for me to find things to do with myself with decorating the nursery and all that fun stuff! I want to make some crafts for the babies room that I've found on pinterest, but I still really need something! I am picking up a 4th day at work, so that should help...but I'm telling you...pregnancy is definitely a patience lesson, because there is nothing you can do about it! Haha!

Baby time!

*Baby is the size of an avocado! One of my apps compared it to my smartphone, probably about an inch smaller than my phone, and an ounce lighter. That was a better visual for me than an avocado!

How far along? 16 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss? 5 pounds, which is right on track, thank you very much!

Sleep? The body pillow is the best invention ever, just p.s.

Best moment this week? Kohn and I have FINALLY agreed on a girl name together! And for those of you who have been talking to me about this, you know what a big deal this is! So now we have a boy name and a girl name picked out and are excited to see which one we will be using! And just as a side note the names aren’t names most people have heard from us…so no, there will be no baby boy Jayden or Cordon, and no baby girl Bostyn!

Miss anything? Being able to lay flat on my back, but it is worth it!

Movement? Not yet but I am so ready for it!

Food cravings? Cinnamon sugar toast!

Have you started to show yet? To Kohn and I, yes.  To others, probably not. But I guess it doesn’t really help that I’ve been wearing baggyish clothes lately anyway. But I still think it looks more like a food baby if you don’t know I’m pregnant.

Gender? I swear everyone in this world thinks it’s a girl but my friend Andria told me yesterday she had a dream that I was having a boy. So 1 vote boy and a billion votes girl.

Labors signs? Definitely not.

Happy or moody most of the time? Depends on the day and who you are ;)

Looking forward to? I seriously am still just looking forward to July because that month is going to bring so many great things for us! 

Week 15!!!

Still just chugging a long over here! Taking it week by week, because that's faster than day by day! ;) It seems that December will never get here, but I know, I know it will! And I know, it will be here before I know it...I've heard it all ;) And like I've said before, I think it will be a lot more real when I feel baby kick and know what gender baby is, and I actually look like I'm pregnant! But until then...

So who's been to Willow Park Zoo this year? They charge now. If you're debating whether or not to spend $2 on an entry to the zoo or $2 on 4 50 cent ice cream cones I'd totally go with the ice cream cones! But I'm just sayin...and I'm also just sayin that swimming with babies is the funnest! On Tuesday, my sister Rikki, and my sister-in-law Angela, and of course my sweet nephew Jaxon, came to play in Logan for the day! We went to the zoo and to the aquatic center, and Jaxon was soooo excited to swim, it was the cutest! I'm excited to be swimming with my baby next year :)

Also, I don't think I've ever had such a bad sunburn in my life. I guess it must be true that pregger chicks get burnt faster and easier. I don't know why, but I believe it. Kohn and I went to the aquatic center Saturday and I completely fried my back and thighs, probably wasn't smart to go without sunscreen, so I fully take blame but still.... And then smart me went back on Tuesday, I put sunscreen on a thousand times I swear, but I still got a little burn over my burn. Oh well...it was worth it. I guess I just really think people should wear sunscreen now. Or at least this person.

So um now to the baby stuff....

How far along? 15 weeks! 
Total weight gain/loss: Enough to make my pants fit tightly ;) 
Sleep: I slept in until 10:30 the other morning...that should tell you right there :)
Best moment this week: I got to hear the babies heartbeat at my doctors appointment! 165 bpm :)
Miss anything? Tummy sleeping! 

Movement: Doctor Noorda said I should feel it by 18-20 weeks! So in the next little bit! 
Food cravings: Lots of randoms! But one that sticks out is tootsie pops! 
Have you started to show yet? I still think no.
Gender? We'll find out July 17th! But no one else can know until July 18th! We decided to wait until after my sisters 16th birthday to tell everyone the exciting news!

Week 14!!

Happy June (six days later)! I swear May flew by, and by the looks of things June is going to do the exact same thing! But hey I'm not complaining, because I am so excited for July! July is just a fantastic month! All the celebrations, parades (taffy), fireworks, baseball, days off of work! It's just fun! And we'll find out the gender of our little baby in July! Plus it'll just be another month closer to December and who can argue with that? ;)

Kohn's baseball season started last Saturday and it was a perfect start! Kohn plays for the Logan Royals team, by the way! Saturday they played the Smithfield Blue Sox and won! 7-5! Kohn got the win and pitched so well! Then another game on Monday against the Brigham City Peaches, and another win, though I don't remember the score! And then another game last night against the Providence Wolverines in which Kohn got another win! 4-1. That's 2-2 for Kohn and 3-3 for the team! I'd say we've got a pretty good season ahead :) 

Little baby is doing so much growing lately, it's exciting to read all about it! And I can see a little more growing in my belly area too! 

*Hair is starting to grow on baby's head!

*Our baby is the size of a lemon! Baby was the size of a poppyseed when we found out we were expecting!

*Baby is probably sucking his/her thumb right now! ;)

How far along? 14 weeks! 
Total weight gain/loss: Again, I'm not sure. I might just delete this question...
Sleep: Very restless. But it seems to be all I want to do ;)
Best moment this week: My cute cousin told me I was starting to get a bump, which means it maybe kind looks like a small pregnant belly rather than bloat? 
Miss anything? Being able to run more than a mile! 

Movement: I know it's going on in there it's just too early for me to feel it! 
Food cravings: Big J's chef salads! 
Have you started to show yet? Kind of sort of. I  took a picture of the "bump" yesterday but still can't decide if I look preggers.
Gender? I had a dream that I did an ultrasound on myself and it was a girl....weird dream.
