I Like Pizza and I Didn't Get Shot

It's a good thing that I said in my last blog post that I was going to stick to this, and not quit halfway through. Because now I really have to own up to that! Which is no problem, I've just fallen way far behind....again. Hey, and wouldn't you know it, dinner is cooking while I take a second to type this! Haha. The usual. Dinner however is not the usual. It's another new pinterest recipe! Oh how happy new recipes make me. I hope it will be good, it smells good. It's a no-carb pizza. The pizza crust is made of eggs, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, and some garlic powder. Smells delish, let's hope it tastes delish as well.

I really need to work on getting on here and writing more often. Because I always have cool things to say, but by the time I get around to writing, I forget all my cool thoughts. Oh well.

I'll just get on with it and get to my thankful thoughts...

#201...I am thankful for my nose. And the fact that it has the smelling sense. Mmmmmm. Dinner really does just smell that good. But it's also nice when I'm getting ready to eat a yummy piece of chocolate at work and I can smell that great smell as it's heading towards my mouth. Oh bliss. The only time I would rather not have my smelling sense is when a baby poops in their diaper. Oh gross. I don't know what some of those babies eat...but wowwwwwww. Haha I sure love their cute faces though.

#202....I am thankful for light. I should really consider running when it's light outside, rather than pitch dark. Last night Kohn and I were running down 200 W around 1000 N and we were just on the sidewalk. But a sidewalk we've never ran down nonetheless because we're normally on the other side of the road...and my point issssss....the sidewalk is crappy and I took a nice little spill...like the ones you only see in the movies. I've got a nice little ouchy on my knee. I can't stand to wear pants. So I wore a dress to work. My knee hurts.

#203....I am thankful that even though I had a whole week off work it really wasn't hard for me to go back to work. Because I love my job that much. Sure it was hard to wake up and have to be somewhere without just having a chill morning, but it sure was fun to see the kids again. And I didn't suffer at all. Haha.

#204....I am thankful for pain killers. Ahhhhh yes. I sure do love some nice drugs to get rid of pain ;)

#205....I am thankful for the happy experience we had going and watching "The Dark Knight Rises". It's always nice to make it through a movie without having anyone get shot.

#206...I am thankful for carts. You know, like the kind at the grocery store. If we didn't have carts we sure would struggle to get the thousands of groceries we seem to think we need. Carts are great.

#207...I am thankful for my purse. It's a nice big ol purse that carries what I need it to carry, and I like it. Plus it was a graduation gift from my wonderful mother-in-law. And let me tell you, it is cute!

Alright so that was kind of random about my purse. But I really do like it a lot. Anyways...I'm going to go stuff my face with pizza, cause you know it has no carbs so I can eat the whole pan if I want ;) and I'm going to watch some trash reality TV...what can I say, it's my weakness.

My weekend starts now. I hope you all enjoy your Friday though, while I enjoy mine.

Family Are Friends Too...

Here you are reading...and here I am again catching up...hahaha. I told you so. Oh well. I am just getting time (heard that one before), so it's all good. It's Thursday (obviously) and I have the day off, so I've had a pretty productive day thus far. Nothing like having a spotless apartment :) other than the extra bedroom....but we don't really count that, because that's just like a "storage/workout room" though it's hard to work out in there because there's no room...oh well. Enough about that, we'll fix it up soon. It actually was clean the other day, but then I heard a crash and I went in there and the dresser had tipped over and all the things on top of it were scattered all over the floor. And we just haven't had the time yet to clean it up. ANYWAY, now really moving on....

#195...I am thankful for a grandma who is a real estate agent, and knows her stuff. We are looking to move soon and she knows all the right things to help us out. Yay for grandma's education!

#196...I am thankful for the day I had at work yesterday. I just am :) most times people get nervous when their boss needs to talk to them, but I think it's about time I just get over that, because it's never anything to be nervous about...and I'm especially thankful to have a job that I LOVE. Very refreshing and fantastic!

#197...I am thankful that I can record my shows on the DVR. Or whatever you may want to call it. If there's nothing good to watch, while I have days off like today, then I can head over to that and pick some Cupcake Wars episodes, or some Cold Case episodes, or something fantastic like that. Oh boy, I'm starting to sound like my mother...

#198...I am thankful that Kohn gets paid to not work tomorrow. We both took tomorrow off so we can go to Rexburg for my brother's graduation. Gotta support the brother. But anyway, we took it off, and I don't get paid, and he does. So that helps lots.

#199...I am thankful for stores like Ross and TJ Maxx...I am very picky about my clothes, VERY. So it's nice to go to those stores and find "name brand" things for a way good price. Always makes me happy ;)

#200...I am thankful that I've made it to #200! Who ever thought that I would actually be able to stick it out this long? I only have like 165ish left! More than halfway there! There have been many times that I have fallen way far behind and figured I'd just forget about it. But I sure am glad I haven't given it up. And I definitely won't now. Sometimes we may just have to deal with novel blog posts because I have a million days to catch up with. But it's always a good time...

Well the apartment looks great. Oh especially with our new couch. Which I am oh so proud of. It took some hard work to get it ;) haha but anyway. Life is good. I love my family and I love that I get to spend more time with them now that it's summer. And when I say my family, I refer to both the Nielsen's and Thedell's. Sure it may not be a whole lot, but it's definitely more than it was before now. And we spend an equal amount of time with both families. I'm glad we both love our families and they love us too (well I think they love us, haha) ;) either way, it's nice to feel comfortable with both families for both of us! :)

Yay for families that are also best friends! :) Because those are always the best of friends!

I Think A Thought

Oh this summer weather is killing me! It's so hot! Even the walk from inside the grocery store to my car was a sweat breaker! This heat is killing me! But I will stop complaining....because I do love summer! Just not the heat. Anyway...it's been a while since I last posted. Oops. But oh well, I've just been busy with family, work, and life. As it should be. And of course you can bet that dinner is cooking while I take a breather to do this. Kind of a late dinner, but it's been a late day with work and such. And a long day. I can't wait to crawl into my bed and let some z's loose. Twill be fantastic.

I think I will thankful now. A couple times over...

#187...I am thankful for spurts of energy, and the "motivation" to get things done. It's great when I can just whip myself into gear and be successful...however, it's really probably not the best idea when I get spontaneous at 10:30 at night and have to work at 8, and don't go to bed til after midnight. Now it's not always a big deal, but when it happens multiple nights in a row, it should probably stop. Enough of that. I am thankful for spurts of energy.

#188...I am thankful for the awesome center that I work in. Licensing was approaching when I started working there and everyone was stressing out. A lot. I just couldn't figure it out. I thought that from everything I saw in the center that it was pretty much flawless. But we worked hard to get the center as child friendly as possible, even more so than it was, and when the licensing lady came we got a whopping 100%! Go Best Friends!

#189...I am thankful for thoughts. Some thoughts are no good, some thoughts are pointless, but some thoughts can really just save you in a moment. Thank goodness we can think to ourselves.

#190...I am thankful for rainy days every now and again. The moisture is always great, and let's be honest, the break from the heat is always nice. I think so anyway.

#191...I am thankful for caller ID. Let's you know when you should and shouldn't answer your phone. And yet...I just answered a telemarketer...genius.

#192...I am thankful for those cute little smiles I get to see every morning that just make my day. It's the best feeling in the world when a mom is dropping their child off and the kid is so excited to see you and just has a big smile on their face. It makes you feel good, and it makes mom feel good about leaving their child with you. I sure love those little munchkins.

#193...I am thankful for my husband. Again. I know, I'm always thankful for him. But as many of my facebook friends will already know, he is amazing. Sum of story: He helped a man in need. The man was very appreciative and told Kohn that he was a very good person. Random man in the road, I couldn't agree more.

#194...I am thankful for scentsy. Oh yes, this is true. I just put in a blueberry cheesecake scent last night, and I could smell it from the outside of my front door when I got home. And it was very welcoming. I could come home to that every day ;)

Well...I'm all caught up again. And I'm sure I'll be saying that again here in the near future when I have to write 8 more posts...oh well, it's a good time.

Thanks for reading!! ;)

Let Freedom Ring

I love when life isn't boring. That's probably a lot of why I love summer so much, because something fun is always going on. Yay for summer! As I was growing up I always thought summers would suck when I was "grown up" because grown ups don't get a summer vacation. But, honestly, working in the summer isn't that bad. I am just spoiled though and have the best job ever, so I enjoy being at work, and get off at a good enough time that I can still do fun summer stuff! Oh life is just good.

Jane had her cute baby, Erynn Marie, and I love her. We went and saw them yesterday after parades and I wanted to hold her forever. But then I decided I should probably share, and let Kohn hold her. He sure did look cute ;)

Kohn should be getting home from work any minute so I think I shall be thankful now...

#184...I am thankful for our country and the freedom we have! And it's just awesome that we get holidays to celebrate it, and we get work off ;) but seriously...we are so blessed to live where we live, and to have all the brave people fight for our freedom.

#185...I am thankful to have an aunt that does hair. It's so nice to be able to just go to her whenever I need and get my hair fixed. Mentioned this before? Probably. But seriously, it's nice. Because I'm picky about my hair and am not going to trust just anyone to take scissors to my hair....it's serious business.

#186...I am thankful for roofs. Today it rained, and at work we spend a good majority of our time outside. We weren't able to do that today though, because of the rain. So it was just great to be able to be under a roof and not get wet. Yay.

Well the hubs is home, and looking fine so I'm gonna go...and head to the laundromat with him to do laundry so we can head to Rexburg on Saturday. Have a wonderful Thursday evening ;)

Dynamite Half

I fall so far behind without even realizing it...it kind of bothers. But oh well, it's only my fault. I can't believe that there are people that can actually do one post a day of what they are thankful for. Now, I'm not saying it's hard to come up with something every day, because it's surely not, it's just hard to find the time every single day.

Oh well, I think what I have going works out just fine. The goal was to list 365 things that I am thankful for, and even though you get a whole lot thrown at you at once, they are still adding up and getting there. The year is half way over too, so why quit now? I'll just make it another...5 months? Yeah...something like that. Wow. Time flies. It's already the 7th month of the year. I still feel like New Years Eve was just yesterday...crazy, crazy.

Today was another day off of work...and it unfortunately was not as productive as most. I had another one of those super lazy days. But I guess it wasn't THAT lazy. I did get our mountain of dishes done, and I did vacuum...and clean. The only thing I missed was putting my laundry away, and making the bed. So not bad, I guess. Here is my goal for the rest of the day: Put laundry away. Haha. We'll see if that happens.

Anyway, dinner is cooking, and so I am just sitting here being a little blogger. I would say something about being a little sophisticated wife or something...but my appearance does not deserve that sort of title. I don't know what it is lately, but my hair just goes NUTS when I sleep. Whether I am move around in my sleep, or stay in the same spot all night (which is how it's been lately since I've slept so deep) I always wake up with it all crazy like! I used to be able to wake up, take the comb through it, use some hairspray and go...not so much anymore. I'm ashamed to say that my hair is still a little bit wacky. And it's 5:00 PM. Curse those lazy days. At least I managed to put a bra on. Progress, my friends.

That was probably a little bit of TMI about the bra, but oh well. If you're willing to read this then you're probably close to me anyway...so it doesn't matter. Oh can I tell you something way embarrassing? Okay...so I am making some lasagna soup, and I wanted to have some bread with it. So I stuck some in the oven, and I was so wise and...well never mind, I don't want to share the story now that I think about it. Moving on...

Saturday Kohn and I ran our first half marathon! I was seriously dreading it more than I can even explain, but now I'm beyond glad that we did it! Our goal was to finish under 2 hours, and that we did! We finished in 1:58:42. Wahoo! And at about mile marker 12, I found out that I was the 2nd girl! So of course that pushed me to finish that last 1.1 mile off strong! And what do you know, I took 2nd in the woman's division! I was pumped and have a medal to prove it! :) I really am excited to do another one, but I worry that it won't be as good...haha, we'll just have to find out. Because I for sure WILL do another one. And a full marathon eventually.

Now I will be thankful...since that is the "point" of this blog...

#178...I am thankful for Pandora. That's silly. But true. Everyone is allowed to be thankful for silly things now and again. And I just love getting to listen to my choice of music, with little to no commercials, and I can skip a song if I'm not feeling it. Whoever created it is genius.

#179...I am thankful for all the examples in my family. Yesterday we were eating our traditional summer ice cream at my aunt and uncles house and we were writing little notes to all the missionaries in our family...and there are 5 out right now. How awesome is that? I sure do have a pretty fantastic family!

#180...I am thankful for my mother-in-law! As Kohn and I were running our half marathon we were talking about how all the other sports in the family, baseball and soccer, get support almost always, and it would be nice to have someone watching us finish my sport every once in a while. And what do ya know? Jean was there waiting for us with chocolate milk at the finish line! It was great to have that support. And believe it or not, it really made that "sprint" at the end so much easier to do. She also took some pictures for us, so when we get those I'll have to share!

#181...I am thankful for "to-do lists". They honestly save my life. They help me get all the things done that I need to get done, plus they help me remember. Which I always need help with.

#182...I am thankful for pens. They help me make my to-do lists. I am a very avid "to-do lister".

#183...I am thankful for music. Every song, well almost every song, can help someone relate to a situation. And for me personally, music has helped me get through things. And I just sure like it.

Well...now that I've written a novel for a blog I shall sign off. Happy Monday everyone!
