All my October mommy's have had their babies, and even my November mommy's (now October mommy's) have had their babies too! So of the people that I know, that puts me next in line! And it's taking forever to be my turn...
6 more weeks! Well, 3-6, or 7. I could potentially end up being a November mommy, but I just don't know how lucky we'll get with that. A girl can dream! What's driving me nuts is if it were anything else we were counting down 6 weeks to it would seem a whole lot closer! In any other situation. I've been told that once I'm in labor I'm going to wonder where the time went...but until then time is dragging.
I think I've mentioned before we're taking a labor/delivery class. Well on Wednesday we got to take a tour of the labor and delivery floor and mommy/baby unit. We've got a pretty decent sized class, I think there is 11 couples. So when we got to labor and delivery and went through the doors the teacher sent all us pregnant girls first, kind of freaked out the nurses! Haha they were trying to figure out how they were going to make room for all of us! Kind of funny, as we were walking around the floor whenever we would walk past an occupied room there would be a comment about "Oh I can hear that baby's heart beat on the monitor" and one of my October mommy's was in one of the rooms we walked past! Fun coincidence.
A couple weeks ago my mom threw a baby shower for me and it was so great! Thanks mom! Baby Nixon got spoiled and we are just seriously blessed! I'm excited to dress my little man in all the cute clothes he got!
I haven't blogged since 32 weeks so if I repeat something, just excuse me. I'm forgetful as it is, but being pregnant takes that to a whole new level for me ;) so....Dr. Noorda decided to make an educated guess, and he made sure to clarify that it was just that, a GUESS. But he told me "Haley, you're not going to have a big baby....shux huh?" Haha yeah doc, shux. His guess is like 7 lbs. But I got to do an extra little ultrasound the other day and that said he was 4 lbs 11 oz at the time. The tech said that's just a little under the average baby weight. So we'll see. But she said he is healthy, healthy, healthy! Moving great, heartbeat is great, and everything looked great! :) He was a little bugger and was covering his face though...he's pretty good at that. He had his hands and feet in front of his face, I can't imagine that would be comfortable....but he did have a cute little ear. And I'm pretty positive we saw some hair when we were on the 3D image :)
*Nixon is the size of a butternut squash, 4 lbs 11 oz :)
*He can now open and close his eyes.
*He was head down when we did the ultrasound, she said he's pretty likely to stay that way now until delivery!
How far along? 34 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: I just honestly don't look at the scale anymore.
Sleep: It has actually been pretty great lately. I fall asleep fast, mainly because I'm exhausted, and I sleep through the night!
Best moment this week? For sure seeing him, even if I couldn't see his face. Oh and then during a heartbeat check he had the hiccups so we could hear the pattern of the hiccups too! Kinda cute!
Miss anything? Pumpkin. Pumpkin gives me the worst heartburn! So hopefully he'll be here before Thanksgiving so I can enjoy all the pumpkin goodness without paying for it afterwards!
Movement? Oh yes!
Food cravings: I'm a chocolate lover.
Have you started to show yet? Yes, and of course I have the dreaded stretch marks too.

Week 32!!!
Another week down, 8 more to go! I have a feeling this will seriously be the slowest 8 weeks of my life. No matter what I do, no matter how busy I am, it doesn't seem to go quite as fast as I'd like :) I know that it'll get here but it seems so far away!
Kohn and I started a labor and delivery class last night that goes for the rest of the month. On our way there I was kind of wishing we hadn't signed up and couldn't imagine having to go to the class anymore times than last night, but after last night I think it'll be a good thing. I'm definitely learning helpful things that I would probably have not known otherwise. And while I'm sure that going into labor and getting to the hospital and all those crazy things are never perfect I feel like we'll be way more prepared and ready to handle it than we would have been. And once this class is over we'll be 35 weeks! 2 weeks away from full term! So maybe the class will help time go by a little faster...not counting on it though ;)
I'm definitely feeling more pregnant than I have at all through this whole pregnancy. I swear I find a new stretch mark every day, I can't sit comfortably, I can't lay comfortably, and I can't walk up the stairs without gasping for breath. In fact, last night we were reading the scriptures and I was having to catch my breath more often than I'm used to during reading. We saw a little picture of what the body looks like inside when pregnant, and it totally makes sense to me why I'm out of breath all the time, having the lungs all squished and such (along with every other organ!!!), but it still isn't fun.
*Nixon is the size of a squash!
*Nixon is finally not transparent, his fat stores are coming in quite nicely.
*Nixon's hair is getting it's color.
How far along? 32 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: I think I'm done with this question. Haha.
Sleep: The other night I was soooo tired that we went to bed at 9, which never happens at our house, and I still didn't manage to fall asleep until after 11...that's how hard it is to get comfortable.
Best moment this week? Well I'd have to say it's been a pretty good week. A pretty typical week too. But I always love when Nixon is bouncing around inside!
Miss anything? Sleep.
Movement? Oh yes!
Food cravings: As of late: I can't think of a particular thing at the moment.

Week 31!!!
The past two days I've got to hold two beautiful brand new baby girls, Ravena and Felecity! Oh I loved it, but for some weird reason it made it feel like these next 9 weeks are never going to end. You would think having watched both friends go through the full pregnancy it would make me realize that December will get here and I will be holding my baby boy, but no, now it feels like it'll never come! Bah! I just can't wait til my time is finally here!
But hey, we're in the single digits in weeks! 9 weeks! Which should go by relatively fast....we can only hope. Maybe it'll be 8 weeks, 7 weeks, 6 weeks, or possibly 10 weeks, oh I hope not 10 weeks. I just don't even know how to put into words what it'll be like when he is finally here, because obviously I don't know yet, but I am sooo excited!
Again, I am finding the time to write this post during my break at work so again I'm going to jump to the baby business...
*Nixon is the size of a pineapple! A pineapple that rolls all over the place.... :)
*All five senses are now in working order!
How far along? 31 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 18 lbs.
Sleep: All I want to do is sleep but it doesn't work very well for me.
Best moment this week? At my doctors appointment yesterday I got to hear Nixon's heartbeat, but it was cute because he kept moving away from the doppler so they had to keep following him around :)
Miss anything? Lately it's been belly sleeping.
Movement? Oh yes, and I can tell he's getting bigger because sometimes the movement is so prominent that it makes me jump!
Food cravings: As of late: candy corn and chocolate covered almonds.
Have you started to show yet? Yes, I swear I look bigger everyday.
Gender? BOY!!!!!
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out?Neither. It's not in, but it's not out. It's just there.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? I think I've been pretty happy, especially with all the brand new babies around me!
Looking forward to: We're doing a maternity shoot next week and one of my bestest friends is taking the pictures, so I'm excited about that!

Week 30!!!
So I missed week 29, because life is just so busy! I'm actually trying to figure out how I'll have anytime in October to document weeks 31-35 because I can't even believe how much stuff we have going on! But it's good, because it will help time go by! Because by the end of crazy October I'll be 2 weeks away from full term! I'm sure I'll go all the way to 41 weeks, because that's just my luck, but at 37 weeks the baby could come any time. But again, that's just not my luck!
Anyways, I'm on my break at work, because for now this is the only time I can find to do this. So...we got the nursery painted, and the crib set up! We've still got an elliptical smack dab in the middle of the room, and painting stuff all over the place, but the nursery is getting somewhere! I have got some crafts done for Nixon's room and I really just can't wait to start hanging stuff up and be completely set up for him! What will be exciting is when we've got the car seat sitting in the car ready to go for whenever he decides to come :)
So, so I have time to eat my lunch I'm going to cut to the chase and get on with the baby stuff!
*Nixon is the size of a cucumber...I'm assuming they mean length! Probably pretty close to 3 pounds!
*Research shows that during sleep Nixon could possibly be dreaming :) precious!
How far along? 30 weeks! Hey we made another fun milestone ;)

Sleep: I'm afraid I'll never get a good nights sleep ever again.

Miss anything? Being able to eat without wondering if what I'm eating will give me heartburn.

Week 28!!!
3rd trimester baby! I remember starting my 2nd trimester and thinking I'd never get to the 3rd, but here we are :) 12 more weeks til due date! Crazy! Some people have told me it will go fast, and some have said it will go slow....I think I'll listen to the people that say it'll go fast... :) but maybe not too fast, because we still have a bit of work to do to be completely ready for him...but then again, who is ever completely ready for such a big change??? We are so excited though! Now that I've reached the milestone of 3rd trimester my next thing to be excited about is making it into the 30's, which is only 2 weeks away! :) For some reason 30 just seems so much closer than 28!
I am definitely, officially pregnant. What I mean by that is my clothes just don't fit anymore...I've been able to wear a couple of pants still up to this point but they are beginning to hurt my belly. And then there's the issue with the shirts...let's just say that what I wore today needs to wait until post baby, because it just doesn't fit like it used to haha. You can bet I came home and jumped into some sweats! And now I never want to get out of them....I wonder how that would go over at the temple tonight?
We got our first delivery from UPS today, it was the crib bedding set! And the crib should be here next week! So after we get the room painted and stuff in a few weeks we'll be able to set it all up! Wahooooo! :) Oh and I don't remember if I mentioned it last week or not but we bought our first box of diapers. Sams Club was having a good deal on a box of newborns so we made the purchase! :)
*Nixon is the size of an eggplant...though I'm pretty sure that one has already come up, so I looked on another app and it says the size of a small cabbage!
*Nixon is probably 2.5 pounds now.
How far along? 28 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 16 pounds.
Sleep: I have the hardest time getting there...
Best moment this week? Definitely hearing his perfect little heartbeat at my appointment yesterday.
Miss anything? Still sleep...I have a feeling it will be sleep for a long time ;)
Movement? Oh yes. Especially when it's time for mommy to go to bed!
Food cravings:I really just want something salty, but I can't.

By the way, my doctors appointment went really good yesterday! And I just mention this because I had a crappy one last time, because my blood pressure has been high and I've just had to be really strict with my diet. I am glad I finally got the glucose test over, because that drink was so nasty! It hurt my throat because it was that sweet. And I will probably never be able to have anything orange flavored again. It will be nice to have the results so that we can get that worry out of the way. Dr. Noorda was really happy with me and says I'm doing great :) I was concerned about getting gestational diabetes so I've been testing my blood sugars whenever I get the chance, and given the last test I did Dr. Noorda doesn't think I have anything to worry about :) He actually told me last time I went in that he wanted me to have minimal weight gain due to my blood pressure, so when I went in yesterday I hadn't gained anything according to his scale in the last month, so he asked if I'd been eating and just joked around with me and it's always nice to be praised by your doctor. Ah presh....and I got a nice little shot in the behind. Definitely wasn't expecting that when I walked in...so for all my friends that are rh negative...when you hit 28 weeks, brace yourself...every rh negative pregnant woman gets one.

Week 27!!!
We are in our last week of the 2nd trimester, and then it's on to the 3rd and final! And now everything really is starting to happen! Just in regards to getting ready for him! I can't even believe we've only got 13 weeks left! Eeeek! It will be the best ever to meet our little man! :)
So. Things are taking place with preparations as I mentioned, but things with the bod too. I lost a lot of sleep the other night because some cute boy decided it was time to be awake and kick mommy all over the belly...and the bladder. Was it worth the loss of sleep though? Oooooh yeah. And that same night/morning I woke up at 4:30 to take a little potty break and I totally couldn't fall back asleep...that was sad because I kid you not, before I got pregnant I NEVER woke up to pee!!! But again....worth it!
So we are in week 27!
*Nixon is the size of rutabaga? Whatever that is...but he's probably weighing in close to 2 pounds.
*His eyelashes are forming!
*I'm sure you've heard the old wives tales about baby having a lot of hair if you get heartburn bad...well if that's true...then he's got my hair!

Week 26!!!
This week has been a fun one for new things happening with Nixon! And Kohn finally gets to join in on the fun, and not just hear about it :) Nixon finally gave daddy a good kick! Kohn loved it, it was precious!
We've had a fun week in general! We went to the temple with our friends on Tuesday, Wednesday we ran into a drunk guy (kinda scary though), and last night we had our friends over to watch the USU/Utah game and ate pizza and yummy stuff! Sadly the game didn't end up like we would have liked, it was still fun though! But the temple...that brings me to another fun Nixon story!
As I was sitting there in the session Nixon started to kick my square in the gut, and he was going crazy. So I looked down and could totally see my stomach moving with his kicks! Definitely one of the coolest things ever! :)
So I'm at work on my break so I'm going to quickly cut this short!
*Nixon is the size of a head of lettuce and is inching towards 2 pounds now!
How far along? 26 weeks! I can't believe in 2 more weeks we'll be in the 3rd, and final, trimester!
Total weight gain/loss: Still hanging out at 15!
Sleep: I definitely have to wake up every night to visit the bathroom at least once and then I wake up multiple times to get comfortable again and again...and again.
Best moment this week: Definitely when Kohn was able to feel Nixon kick him in the face! And of course when I saw him kicking in the temple!
Miss anything? Energy.
Movement? Of course! I'm feeling him everyday now, and Kohn can normally get him to kick him at night before bed. He hasn't been moving as much as I'd like him to be the past couple days though, but he's been hanging out more towards my back too, so I'm sure I'm just not feeling all the kicks he's kicking.

Looking forward to: Getting started on the nursery. And getting the glucose test done with in the next few weeks.
We've had a fun week in general! We went to the temple with our friends on Tuesday, Wednesday we ran into a drunk guy (kinda scary though), and last night we had our friends over to watch the USU/Utah game and ate pizza and yummy stuff! Sadly the game didn't end up like we would have liked, it was still fun though! But the temple...that brings me to another fun Nixon story!
As I was sitting there in the session Nixon started to kick my square in the gut, and he was going crazy. So I looked down and could totally see my stomach moving with his kicks! Definitely one of the coolest things ever! :)
So I'm at work on my break so I'm going to quickly cut this short!
*Nixon is the size of a head of lettuce and is inching towards 2 pounds now!
How far along? 26 weeks! I can't believe in 2 more weeks we'll be in the 3rd, and final, trimester!
Total weight gain/loss: Still hanging out at 15!
Sleep: I definitely have to wake up every night to visit the bathroom at least once and then I wake up multiple times to get comfortable again and again...and again.
Best moment this week: Definitely when Kohn was able to feel Nixon kick him in the face! And of course when I saw him kicking in the temple!
Miss anything? Energy.
Movement? Of course! I'm feeling him everyday now, and Kohn can normally get him to kick him at night before bed. He hasn't been moving as much as I'd like him to be the past couple days though, but he's been hanging out more towards my back too, so I'm sure I'm just not feeling all the kicks he's kicking.
Food cravings: I just like food.
Have you started to show yet? That I surely have.
Gender? BOY!!!!!
Labor signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? In but it will be out soon enough.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
